What is this service?
We’ve translated the ASD’s Essential Eight cyberthreats mitigation strategies into a plain language, audit dashboard, with step-by-step prompts so you always know what’s being asked — and what good looks like.

With one click, paid subscribers can generate a polished .docx report that follows ASD’s template, ready for boards, executives, or clients. Themes can be applied to the final document, ensuring consistency with your brand or aesthetic preferences.
How do I create an account?
Register here to get started with a Yast account.
Enter your name, e-mail address and a strong password then check your e-mail for instructions to confirm your e-mail address.
Once you have confirmed your e-mail address you will be redirected to a page to setup two-factor authentication.
Proceed to login to enter your new login credentials.
Note
This service implements NIST SP 800-63B-4's minimum authentication and authenticator security recommendations:
- 2FA is required to login
- Passwords must be a minimum of 8 characters; weak passwords are not allowed
- User login and OTP authentication attempts are rate limited.
Subscriptions
What subscriptions are available?
- The free plan provides access to a single assessment dashboard but no ability to download or print a report.
- The Yast Starter Plan provides access to a single assessment dashboard and report printing capability. Only one assessment can be undertaken at a time - the dashboard and organisation details must be reset for subsequent assessments. May be upgraded to the Yast Pro Plan at any time to enable multiple assessments.
- The Yast Pro Plan provides access to multiple, persistent assessment dashboards, for use with multiple clients/organisations.
Paid plans generate .docx reports for download.
How do I subscribe?
Go to your My Account page and select Subscribe.
The Subscribe button is also available on the Print Assessment dialog.
What payment methods are accepted?
Stripe supports a wide range of payment methods, including:
- Credit and Debit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and more.
- Digital Wallets: Apple Pay, Google Pay, and more.
- Buy now, pay later: Afterpay / Clearpay, and more.
How do I unsubscribe?
Go to your My Account page and select Manage Subscription.
This will allow you to manage your subscription from your Stripe account portal.
Cancellations do not take effect until the end of the month.
Yast has a no refund policy.

What should I do if I forget my password?

How do I setup 2FA?
Open the login page and enter your e-mail address and password.
Select "E-Mail QR code".
